SYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING: Ages 8 years – adult
Parks & Rec. and the Sandpoint West Athletic Club offer this new activity for those who like dancing, gymnastics, and swimming. Synchro uses the grace of dance and the power of gymnastics to perform fun water skills like somersaults, walkovers, oysters, torpedo sculls and more. Goggles and nose plugs recommended.
Prerequisites are: Participants must be age 9 years or older AND have the ability to: competently float, submerge in 5 foot of water, and swim 25 meters each stroke - front crawl and breaststroke.
Classes are at Sandpoint West Athletic Club (1905 Pine Street) on Fridays from 3:30 – 4:30 pm. Sessions begin the first Friday of the month January – April in 2018. Registration deadlines are 2 days prior to session start dates. Register for the April 6th session by April 4th. Class fee is $40/session ($5 in-city limit discount). There is a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 10 participants for this class, so register early!
