In
order to apply for a business license, you
must submit a completed and signed Business
License Application to the City
Clerk’s office at least ten (10) business days prior
to the date you will commence business.
GENERAL
BUSINESS LICENSE: No
person shall engage in any business within the
City of Sandpoint without a Business License
issued by the City.
This license shall be in addition to any
other license required and shall be valid from
the date it is issued through December of that
same year, so long as the ownership, nature of
the business, and location of the business
remain unchanged.

Print and complete, then forward to the City
Clerk’s office, along with the $50 license
fee.
TEMPORARY
LICENSE FOR SPECIAL EVENTS: No
person shall engage in any temporary business
within the City of Sandpoint without a temporary
business license issued by the City. Such
license shall be valid for no more than four (4)
days. Those
who possess a City of Sandpoint general business
license are exempt from obtaining a temporary
business license when engaging in business at a
special event. Vendors
participating in Farmers' Market, Pend Oreille
Arts Council arts and crafts fair, The Festival
at Sandpoint, the county fair, or any other sanctioned
event on public property are not required to
obtain a license.

fee.
These
requirements are applicable to all wholesale and
retail businesses and all activities,
occupational callings, trades, pursuits or
professions that conduct business from or at a
location within the City of Sandpoint with the
object of gain, profit, benefit or advantage or
that operate a business at a special event or
use the public right of way for a special event,
on a temporary basis, including mobile food and
merchandise vendors.

Department to check zoning regulations in the
