Picnic Shelter  

Sandpoint Parks and Rec offers online reservations for For Picnic Shelters, Visitor Boat Slips and the Sandpoint Community Hall. Follow the link below, create an account, select catalog, and then navigate to your desired facility under the Facilities Tab. To get started CLICK HERE!

Frequently asked questions for Picnic Shelters

  • The City does not issue refunds for Picnic Shelter reservations.
  • City of Sandpoint Picnic Shelter Reservations are $55/day for those who reside inside Sandpoint City limits and $65 for non residents.
  • Only one reservation is allowed per day at each Picnic Shelter.
  • Sandpoint enjoys all four seasons. The best months to use the shelter are June, July, Aug, and Sept.
  • Scheduling is available for the current calendar year only. If you have questions M-F between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm call P&R (208) 263-3613.

  • The City does not issue refunds for visitor moorage reservations.
  • Rates vary based on slip length.
  • Slips open at 10am.
  • Only one reservation is allowed per day in each slip.
  • Scheduling is available for the current calendar year only. Due to raising and lower of Lake Pend Oreille slip access is limited to roughly mid-June to mid-September.

  • Free, First come first serve, Day use areas are available at the City Beach Marina, Windbag Marina, and the Sand Creek Boardwalk

Frequently asked questions for Sandpoint Community Hall

  • Submission of online reservation request for Community Hall are pending approval.
  • P&R advises that reservation requests for Community Hall are submitted a minimum of 14 days in advance to allow time for review and approval.

To Request Field Space on City managed fields for sport leagues, organizers should first review the Field Use Policy and submit a Parks Activities Request Form to Sandpoint Parks and Rec T-F from 8am - 5pm recreation@sandpointidaho.gov or call 263-3613 and ask for Kami.

To Submit a request to hold a Private Special Event inside a Park, event coordinators will need to submit a Parks Activities Request Form to Sandpoint Parks and Rec  for review and approval. Requests must be submitted at least 60 days prior to event start date.
